Riza’s raw and unfiltered honey is derived from honeydew, not flower-nectar like conventional honey. It is produced in small batches in selected regions across Greece once a year, between May and July, and like fine wine the yields depend on the terroir and weather conditions. During these summer months, the bees are placed for 40 days in the mountains of the Peloponnese  at an altitude of over 1100m.
